What’s The Process of Making Custom Mosaic Tile?

The process of making our specialty custom mosaic tile begins with using the finest Italian-grade porcelain. While other manufacturers offer the less expensive ceramic tiles, we’ve found the quality and durability of porcelain is second-to-none.

Porcelain tile is denser, heavier, and less likely to be damaged by water than ceramic tile. This makes it a better choice for outdoor locations.

We then coat our porcelain tiles with a special porcelain coating that allows for the image to be placed on each tile and kiln fired at over 2,000 degrees fahrenheit. This process bakes the image directly into the porcelain.

The result is a brilliant image that is guaranteed to not fade, scratch, or crack, regardless of the weather they’re exposed to.
